2007 Spring Break: Iowa

"Desperately seeking something to do!"

"The World's Largest Frying Pan" was actually the high-point of the trip. What does that say about the trip?

Iowa City, Coralville and Cedar Rapids

When the battle cry is, "can we just go home!" you know the trip is not going well. But to be fair, our streak of great vacations had to end, and in what more appropriate spot than Iowa?

The plan was to drive a short distance, find a mall, and hang out by the hotel hot tub. We did all that and yet, it was all pretty boring. Hmmm ...

"I'm going to wait in the car, the fun is just too much for me."

In Coralville (or was it Iowa City?) there was an auto museum. We went on a lark because it advertised as one of its features: "a collection of unusual sparkplugs." Sounded like there might be a story to bring back with us. Here's the story we brought back: there were no sparkplugs at all!

There were actually a few very cool cars from the early days up 'till the 60s but it wasn't enough to salvage the trip.

"Woo-hoo, an old car!"
